- Brand Evolution & New Website – Crow WoodMay 15, 2025
Crow Wood is more than just a golf club. With a reputation as one of the friendliest clubs in Glasgow, Crow Wood delivers year-round play, fun and great experiences.
On the golf front, we have a historic course designed by the legendary James Braid and one that is being invested heavily in with regards to new machinery and staff training. We also have a fantastic partner driving range powered by Toptracer. This remarkable technology has transformed the experience at the range for golfers and non-golfers alike.
The old mansion house that is Garnkirk House is utilised as the golf clubhouse and has been significantly upgraded in recent times to make it a more welcoming and family-friendly environment. It also doubles as the pre-eminent local venue for all manner of events from birthday parties and christenings to weddings and business meetings. It holds up to 120 people and can deliver that something extra special.
There is also an extremely well-stocked bar, professional staff and our catering is renowned locally. Alongside all of this, we run a very busy function and event calendar with some of the highlights including a Christmas Grotto, Comedy Nights, Casino Nights and lots of live music and other notable additions.
Crow Wood Golf Club - Then & Now
A James Braid designed, parkland golf course formed in 1925, Crow Wood is situated on the Garnkirk Estate and boasts the converted 18th century Mansion House as our magnificent clubhouse. With beautiful views of the Campsie hills and Ben Lomond beyond, it is a place that is soothing to the soul.
The future of the golf club is bright with a course development plan that will see some of the original Braid features restored, a complete bunker renovation across all 53 bunkers, an upgraded irrigation system, a new fleet of John Deere machinery and a grow-in program of wispy rough to replace the existing lush rough. Add to this a 6-hole Par 3 course, the Toptracer technology in our partner driving range, our very own turf nursery and our environmental and sustainability goals and you have a modern day golf course fit for all standard of golfer.
Off the course, the vision already underway is for the club to once again be at the heart of the community with a welcoming, family-orientated environment, meeting points, outside walks, a destination venue in the shape of Garnkirk House and a plethora of social, community and spectacular events based both within the House itself and the surrounding grounds.
